Unveil is an 8 week Beginners Belly Dance and Empowerment of the Feminine course.
Join award winning Middle Eastern teacher Shemiran Ibrahim on an 8 week journey learning the basics of beautiful, joyful Egyptian Belly Dance, and facilitated work to help you ‘Unveil’ your most authentic Feminine self. Shemiran is renowned for teaching traditional improvisational Belly Dance to western women, in a fun, joyful and safe space using her acclaimed and easy to follow “Belly Dancing from the Heart” step-by-step method.

Unveil is a program designed with the intention of creating a gentle step-by-step process that helps connect women back to their authentic Feminine self through Belly Dance. Whether a woman has suffered trauma in her childhood or womanhood, or she is simply in a place in her life where she feels that she has drifted too far away from who she really is, the program has the ability to help create mental, emotional and physical bridges towards reconnecting with a fuller experience of herself, and her relationship with the Feminine.

How is this done?
This is done in an organic and gentle way using the healing art of Belly Dance as a foundation for experiencing the program. Each participant will learn the basic seven groups of movements that create the foundation of all Belly Dance styles, making this course a great introduction to Belly Dance.
Who will benefit?
Whether the recurring signs of a need to reconnect are emotional or physical pain, or the less obvious but similarly damaging ongoing feelings of boredom, numbness and lack of passion, our modern lives can very regularly leave us thirsty for a more Feminine and authentic way of life.
Many women can find themselves in an excruciating lack of joy, sensuality, softness and emotional agility. “Unveil” uses the ancient practice of Belly Dance, taught with a wholistic focus, to help integrate an eight week workshop that gently peels back the layers to help each woman find her more feminine, truer core. Past students of the program report that this materialises in their lives as feeling more relaxed, grounded and graceful, feeling better about their body, expanding their awareness of their emotional landscape, easing minor niggling pains and finding courage to make changes in line with their true desires.
